Come here if you miss the og hk hole in the wall noodle soup. They specialize in noodle soup or braised meat. There's enough choices so they can focus on what they're good at but also different from hk cha cha ting. I like the fact that menu was simple and there isn't a million items on the menu. I like their milk tea and lemon tea especially on a hot day. The location is a block away from Costco so come by before you shop. The price is reasonable given that there aren't many of these places around in this neighborhood.

Solid food but be prepared to wait for a while for your food to come out. I thought this was an under the radar hole in the wall but it was fully packed on Saturday afternoon at 1pm. I got the cart noodles, where you're able to basically mix and match different topping and noodles and soup base. The thick egg noodles are the way to go. We also tried the flat rice noodles but they were too soft (a bit over cooked) while the egg noodles had just the right bite. Among the cart noodle toppings, I really like the braised beef brisket, which was so tender and juicy. The tendon and beef intestines were quite good too, and my mom was a huge fan of the pig skin. The black fungus roll was tasty as well (I love tofu skin rolls generally), and I'd probably skip the Chinese broccoli next time given it's poor value compared to the other toppings. I chose the braised flavor which I enjoyed. My dad enjoyed his wonton soup which is rare for him. I tried one his wontons, which were quite tasty although had a very strong dried shrimp taste, which is not my ideal type of wonton.

This is one of my go-to restaurants in SoMa! Beyond cafe is well known for their Hong Kong style noodles, and for good reason. I always get their cart noodles, and the braised sauce is the way to go. Their offal ingredients are very tasty, and have never tasted gamey. You order using a plastic placard and a marker, and the staff is very nice and accommodating. The interior walls are decorated with sitting from customers, and you can tell that it is a beloved restaurant! Definitely a must for anyone wanting Hong Kong style food in the area!
